The lobby's design included charming plants. There were various alcoves available for exploration. Staff upgraded my room from a twin single to a twin double, which I appreciated.
The curtains in the room did not completely shut, letting some light in.

i loved the hotel's great location for walking into town. it's right next door if you're seeing a show at the palace theatre. the hotel was superb.
the reception staff did not recognise my ihg loyalty. they also didn't welcome me in any way to the hotel. it was a functional check-in, just making sure they had my credit card details.

I enjoyed the lively bar as it featured a DJ that created a great atmosphere and had a bar snack menu. Breakfast provided plenty of choice and was very good. The staff was helpful and rooms were great. The breakfast was excellent.
I found that some aspects of the room's decor could be more considered, aligning with other hotels. There were not enough chairs for everyone to sit comfortably and eat room service.
